Winchester Speedway Track and Camping Information

The high-banked asphalt 1/2-mile oval is located on SR 32 in Winchester,
Indiana.  Winchester Speedway is owned by Charlie Shaw.  The seating capacity
is 5,000 and an underground walk through tunnel makes commuting from the
pits to the grandstands convenient.

Camping at the Speedway is $20.00 a camp site for the larger racing events.
Only Primitive Campsites Are Available - No Hook-ups

Spectator Information

Winchester Speedway is the world's fastest 1/2 mile paved track. The Winchester Speedway is first in family entertainment and first in racing

Our ticket office is located by the main gate. We accept cash and credit cards (Master Card, Visa and Discover). Pit passes may be purchased at the ticket office. You will need a pit pass to gain access to the pits through our easy access tunnel to be with your favorite driver.

April 12th is the last day to reserve previous seating for the 2013 race schedule.














Rain Check Policy:

The rain check policy is as follows: If the halfway point in the program (heat races) has been completed, rain checks will NOT be issued.

Pit Passes:

Pit Pass wristbands can be purchased at the Main Office. No one under the age of 14 is permitted in the pit area and children under 18 must have proof of age and a waiver signed by a parent for entry. You can download a consent waiver, complete it in advance and bring it with you.

Grandstand seating available or bring lawn chairs to sit in the infield and be surrounded by the action.

Free Parking:

Winchester Speedway parking is complementary. We also have ample space for handicap parking.

What to wear:

Casual attire is recommended at the speedway. Just remember, you are in the outdoors, so dress accordingly for the elements, and don't
forget the sunscreen on sunny days and blankets for cool nights. Closed toe shoes and long pants are required in the pit area. The races can get loud; ear plugs are available in the Gift shop.


Winchester Speedway restrooms are located on the west side of the concession stand, just north of the Main office. The pit area also offers
restroom facilities in the east side of the concession stand. There are also Port-a-Johns located in the pit area and speedway grounds.


Coolers are NOT allowed at Winchester Speedway. We go to great efforts to offer you the very best and affordable concessions.

Concession Stand:

Winchester Speedway offers you two concessions stands. The main concession stand is located just north of the main gate directly behind the
main grandstands. The second concession stand is located in the pit are. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased in the newly remodeled "High Bank Saloon" located inside the concession area. We proudly serve Miller, Miller Lite, Budweiser, Bud Lite, and Coors. We also offer wine produced by our local winery. We serve Pepsi products.

Gift Shop:

Winchester Speedway offers you the opportunity to take home souvenirs from the fastest 1/2 mile track ranging from wearing apparel, (sweat
shirts, tees, hats) collectibles, ear plugs and programs.


Sorry, no pets are allowed in the grandstands or pits except for service dogs.


Winchester Speedway provides camping spaces for $20.00 per spot. Only primitive campsites are available (no hook-ups). Campsites are first come first serve. If you mark off a space, you must prepay at the main office in order to guarantee the reserved spot.
