Biggest Purse Ever for the Winchester’s Labor Day Super Show

There will be 10,000 reasons for Super Late Model drivers to win the Fly Over States 150 on September 5th during the Vore’s Welding & Steel King of the Highbanks presented by JEGS.

The inaugural event will pay $10,000 to the driver who stands in victory lane after the 150-lap event at the World’s Fastest Half Mile.  The race is a minimum of $750 to start.  The winner will also get to ascend the throne and don the crown, cloak and scepter.

Having been rescheduled from its original rain date in May, the Fly Over States 150 presented by JEGS now takes the position of the traditional Labor Day Super Late Model event sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series.  It will act as a preview of next month’s 50th Lucas Oil Winchester 400.

“The regular show for the Labor Day Super Late Model race at Winchester just wasn’t drawing cars, so we decided to put some big bucks on the line,” said Bob Dillner, Promoter of Winchester Speedway.  “The racers say they want a good payday so we doubled the purse and now they have some incentive.  With that money, we are expecting some big names and a great car count.  Plus, it’s a good way to prepare for the 50th  Lucas Oil Winchester 400 and we have some big announcements to come about that as well.”

All tickets for the weekend will be General Admission except for the top-three rows.  The top-three rows are reserved tickets only.  Tickets for the King of the Highbanks and the Lucas Oil Winchester 400 are available at winchesterspeedway.com/tickets.
