Fly Over States 150 Postponed at Winchester Speedway

The highly anticipated Fly Over States 150 Super Late Model event at Winchester Speedway has been postponed.  Poor weather combined with a new tire has led to the postponement of the race.  A new date will be announced at a later date.

The event was scheduled to be a combination race between the ARCA / CRA Super Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour on Tuesday, May 18.  The Vores Compact Touring Series was also going to be in the spotlight at the legendary track.

“This was a un-perfect storm to force us to make this decision.  We were keeping a close eye on the weather, which is iffy at best at this time, but when we learned more about the new tire that was being brought to the track, we decided it would be in the best interest of everyone to postpone the event,” said Bob Dillner, Promoter of Winchester Speedway.  “We want the competitors to have an opportunity to test this tire so that we are prepared for the event.  We didn’t believe the teams that planned to compete would have that opportunity with the fact that we had a green tire and a poor weather forecast.

“We will schedule a tire test with Hoosier to properly prepare for action on the high banks.  Once that is complete, we will also plan an open test to allow all teams practice.  All the while, we will be searching for a new date for the Fly Over States 150,” added Dillner.  “Winchester Speedway is ready to go, but we will always put the safety of the teams and the excitement of the show factor first before anything else.”

Fans who purchased advance tickets and camping online will still be able to use those tickets for the rescheduled date.  Fans wanting to purchase any tickets for Winchester Speedway in 2021 can do so by visiting
