LITTLE 500 / ANDERSON & WINCHESTER SPEEDWAY FORM SPRINT ALLIANCE FOR OCT. 30

The Strangest Races That Defied Convention at Winchester Speedway

The pavement Sprint Car scene in the Hooiser state is on the rise. That fact is due to one thing, the resurgence of the Little 500 due to the hard work and determination of the management of Anderson Speedway.

Now, the staff at the World’s Fastest Quarter Mile will combine efforts with the World’s Fastest Half Mile to bring the Sammy Sessions Snowball event on Saturday, October 30th to a level of prominence it deserves..

The Little 500 and Anderson Speedway staff will be part of the promotional and race direction team for the event. It will also provide the tech inspection services in the return of the event to Winchester Speedway.

“Rick (Dawson), Jared (Owen) and myself have worked together on several things behind the scenes this year,” said Bob Dillner, Promoter of Winchester Speedway. “I helped them with some aspects of the Redbud 400 this year and now they are helping us with this race. They have single-handedly saved pavement Sprint Car racing with the success of the Little 500 and their other races, so to work together with them on this event will only elevate what both of us want… the success of that style of racing in Central Indiana.”

“We are excited to partner with Winchester Speedway and the return of the Sammy Sessions Snowball Event,” said Jared Owen, Vice President of Operations – Anderson Speedway. “We are thrilled to see the continued growth of sprint car racing in central indiana.”

There will be an optional practice session for the day before the event, on Friday, October 30.

More details for the event will be announced in the coming weeks, including another prominent division to make this a spectacular doubleheader event.

All tickets for the weekend will be General Admission with the exception of the top-three rows of the main grandstand. The “Top-Tier” rows are reserved tickets only.
