The vibe for Winchester Speedway is electric and is gaining plenty of momentum for 2021. The
track is planning to release its entire schedule in the coming weeks, but today speedway
officials announced that the Champion Racing Association will be featured in four of its events
next year.
The big mid-week show, the Fly Over States 150, on Tuesday, May 18, will feature the ARCA /
CRA Super Series. The event is expected to be a co-sanctioned with an announcement coming
soon. The 150-lap Super Late Model race will be a high-dollar race combined with another
series two be featured on that same night.
On July 10, the CRA Street Stocks will be in the spotlight with the JEGS / CRA All-Stars Tour as
the other division slated to compete. Event details are in the works, but this will be one of the
biggest Street Stock shows in the Midwest in 2021.
The traditional two-day Labor Day weekend event at Winchester Speedway will return in 2021,
but will be under a different name. More news on that to come, but the event will feature the
ARCA / CRA Super Series, the CRA Street Stocks and the CRA Late Model Sportsman. The JEGS /
CRA All-Stars Tour will not be part of this weekend to accommodate those drivers to participate
in the anticipated big race at Jukasa Motor Speedway in Canada. The Pro Late Models, instead,
will race on July 10. More changes to the event structure will be forthcoming and will also be
announced soon.
The Winchester 400 will turn gold in 2021. The 50th running of the famed race will take place
on October 15-17 on the daunting high-banked track. All four CRA divisions will compete for
their shot at capturing the rifle-style trophies and season-long championships.
“We are excited about the 2021 schedule at Winchester Speedway and the big role CRA will
have in sanctioning some events there,” said R.J. Scott, managing partner of the Champion
Racing Association. “The team of promoter Bob Dillner and track owner Charlie Shaw has
already done some great things in a short amount of time they’ve been working together, and I
can see even better experiences for fans and racers for years to come!
“Tweaks to the already great 400 and Labor Day weekends will be real positives… plus the
addition of the May Midweek Super Late Model show and a major July event for street stocks
give the schedule a real, full season flavor for stock car racing. Kudos to Bob, Charlie and their
team for their efforts and we look forward to working with them on all these great events next
year!”
Details on all the events at Winchester will be made on an individual basis. Also, expect the
entire schedule for Winchester Speedway in 2021, which will feature the return of USAC and its
first appearance for the Silver Crown Series, to be released soon.
